- Regulate land use and building developments within the municipality.
- Enforce urban planning laws, by-laws, and building codes.
- Approve and monitor development plans, building permits, and construction projects.
- Prevent unauthorized developments and encroachments in urban areas.
- Ensure compliance with zoning regulations and urban design standards.
- Promote sustainable urban growth and infrastructure development.
- Conduct inspections and audits of ongoing construction projects.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate environmental, health, and safety standards into urban planning.
- Sensitize the public and developers on planning regulations and compliance requirements.
