Mr. Adan Abdi Baraka, is a dedicated public servant currently serving as the Head of Department (HoD) for Finance and Revenue Services at Mandera Municipality. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy, equipping him with strong expertise in financial management, governance, and strategic planning. In his role, Mr. Baraka is responsible for overseeing the Municipality’s finance and revenue functions, including financial planning, strategy development, corporate services, and revenue administration. He plays a key role in strengthening financial accountability and ensuring efficient resource management within the municipality. Mr. Baraka is also responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, including developing summary feedback on financial statements and monitoring budget variances to support informed decision-making. Through his leadership, he contributes to improved financial performance, transparency, and sustainable service delivery for the residents of Mandera Municipality.
